Minister Brian Hayes and Deputy Derek Keating (FG), who came to examine flood defences in the centre of the village LUCAN should no longer be considered a flooding blackspot, a local TD has claimed.

Fine Gael’s Derek Keating met this week with Minister for the OPW Brian Hayes to discuss the ongoing difficulties that many Lucan residents have experienced in obtaining or paying for home and flood insurance.

A Health Information and Quality Authority inspection of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin has found that all clinical areas examined were generally unclean.
The finding was contained in one of 14 new hygiene and infection prevention reports for hospitals published today. This is unacceptable and has nothing to do with cut backs or economic management said Derek Keating TD for Dublin MidWes. The reports are highly critical of the Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital.

Fine Gael TD for Dublin Mid West, Derek Keating, has today (Tuesday) said that the Government’s new Action Plan on Bullying will help to tackle the scourge of bullying in schools across Dublin Mid West and the entire country. Fine Gael TD, Derek Keating has today (Friday) said that an additional 2,000 Community Employment places are being made available to help those out of work to get a job. Deputy Keating  added that the Government will spend €1 billion this year on retraining and up skilling programmes aimed at getting people back to work.
