Local TD Derek Keating unveils plans for newly proposed Primary Care Centre for Lucan

A major step forward in the planned new Primary Care Centre for Lucan is happening this week with the lodgement of an application for planning permission with South Dublin County Council. The proposed Primary Care Centre for Lucan represents a €5m investment which will bring badly needed jobs to Lucan, both in the construction phase and when the Centre is up and running.

I was delighted to attend a recent Fundraising Event and to continue supporting the great work of Aspen Counselling. Previously I had assisted in securing the €20,000.00 Grant to assist with Aspen’s vital services and am glad to announce that they have been successful in receiving a further grant of €5,000.00 from the National Lottery Fund under the Department of Children and Youth Affairs.

Three years ago I introduced the Lucan Primary Care Centre project for Ballyowen Castle Shopping Centre. The purpose of this initiative is to provide the people of Lucan with a multi-million euro Primary Care facility that will include a full range of medical services: GP, Nursing, Dental, Social Work, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Dietician, Psychology etc. – Lucan’s very own Mini Hospital. 3 years ago I started the campaign for the 3rd Post Office in Lucan. An Post acknowledged this campaign by agreeing to a 3rd Lucan Post Office. A long process began to determine which retailerwas awarded the contract. This process stalled but following my repeated representations, An Post has now agreed to re-commence the process. I will continue to keep local residents posted on this important matter.

Dublin TD, Derek Keating, has today withdrawn his nomination for the B list of the European Elections with Brian Hayes in May in favour of Senator Eamonn Coghlan.
Speaking to Party members, Deputy Keating thanked those who have nominated him and is delighted to endorse Senator Eamonn Coghlan to be a member of the Brian Hayes “Dream Team” for the forthcoming European Elections in the Constituency of Dublin.

Local Lucan TD Derek Keating secures meeting with Education Minister  for Lucan schools to review crisis
