Dublin TD, Derek Keating, has today withdrawn his nomination for the B list of the European Elections with Brian Hayes in May in favour of Senator Eamonn Coghlan.
Speaking to Party members, Deputy Keating thanked those who have nominated him and is delighted to endorse Senator Eamonn Coghlan to be a member of the Brian Hayes “Dream Team” for the forthcoming European Elections in the Constituency of Dublin.

Local Lucan TD Derek Keating secures meeting with Education Minister  for Lucan schools to review crisis

Local TD for Lucan, Deputy Derek Keating, (after raising a Special Notice Question in the Dáil  on the crisis at two of Lucan’s largest national schools, St. Thomas’s and Scoil Áine Naofa) Minister Ruairí Quinn has agreed, at Derek Keating’s request, to meet with the School representatives  along with Deputy Keating’s fellow TDs, Robert Dowds and Joanna Tuffy on this Wednesday 5th Feb, at 7pm.

Minister agrees to meet Lucan schools to review prefab crisis

Local TD for Lucan, Deputy Derek Keating, has today raised a Special Notice Question which was agreed by the Ceann Comhairle on the crisis at two of Lucan’s largest national schools, St. Thomas’ Junior National School and Scoil Áine Naofa Senior National School.
Minister Ruairí Quinn has agreed, at Derek Keating’s request, to meet with the School Boards and school representatives.

Fine Gael Local TD Derek Keating has  said that the revelations surrounding extremely low profit margins at Rehab Lotteries warrant further scrutiny. Deputy Keating made his comments in the aftermath of a contribution by the Minister for Justice, Alan Shatter TD, to a Dáil debate on charities last night.

Local Fine Gael TD Derek Keating has called for former chief executive of CRC, Paul Kiely, to return the pension pay-off he received when he left the organisation in June 2013. As today  it was revealed that Mr Kiely was given a €740,000 retirement pay-off after he left his post. The deal included €200,000 tax free, €273,336 which was taxable and €268,689 paid into Mr Kiely’s pension fund.
