This song was recorded in aid of Pieta House, to raise awareness of their work and raise much needed funds. It features Ministers, Senators and TDs from across the Irish political spectrum. All are current members of the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament). None of them had ever sung before but they were willing to take part to support the great work done by Pieta House, luckily the song also features the talent and wonderful voices of the Lucan and Dublin Gospel Choirs.

Suicide is a growing problem is our community and it’s something that, being a director of Pieta House in Lucan, means I deal with on a regular basis. Fine Gael supports families and individuals who are in crisis and thanks to the tremendous work by Pieta House over 3,000 people are alive today.

As you may have noticed, I posted a video yesterday about my history with the community and more and today I have another video for you. This video expresses my interest in change, a change that I believe Fine Gael can help to bring around – this is why I am asking for your No.1 vote in the General Election.

A Message from Enda Kenny:
For the last ten years the Government’s answer to any problem in the health service was to throw taxpayers’ money at it. Billions were wasted and the health service was never reformed in any fundamental way. As a result, Ireland’s health system is now ranked 24th in Europe in terms of value for money.

The debate surrounding third level reform has intensified in recent months. It has focused primarily on the funding aspect of the system and has not considered the wider potential for reform in the sector. Fine Gael has put forward this Green Paper on Higher Education in a wider context.

There is a better way, and a fairer way, than anything offered by the current failed Government. Fine Gael will make jobs and economic growth a precondition, not an aspiration. International experience shows clearly that cuts in spending are more effective at fixing deficits and are better for growth and jobs than tax increases.
